Our airplane arrived on time, we headed to get a rental car and drove first time on the right side of the car and onto the left side of the road. It definitely stretches the brain muscles while doing this. No talking just focusing on the roads, the left sided exits off highways and the round abouts that go counter clockwise. What an adventure. Yes, Colleen and I made sure to say a prayer when we were on our way.
You know when you’re getting closer when the roads are single track roads and you have to navigate oncoming traffic and lots of water. The gentlemen at the rental office gave us an upgrade to a Mercedes C class wagon. We were “stylin drivin.”
One half mile to Churchill where the house is located and two red lights go on. We blew two passenger side tires. I didn’t hit anything.
While we waited for someone to pull over and help us, no one did and Colleen jumped on the hood, flagged a sweet Range Rover and with a look of concern on their faces, they hesitantly got out and helped us. They drove us directly to the farm house and we waited 3 hours to get the tires fixed. We made it though!! What an adventure it was for the first 24 hours. We started to wonder what was going to happen next!
